The School has been created after the merging of all public Universities and Institutes into one University of Rwanda.
It aims at extending UR-College of Education's mission by making the College's scholarship accessible to the wider community.
The main objective of the School is to provide high quality, flexible, part-time education tailored for adults in order to complement the College core mission.
The School has also the mandate to coordinate Open and Distance eLearning programs of all UR-Colleges through assistance in development of online materials and resources through its Department of Instructional Technology.
