Biography :

Mr. Charles Ntawigira is the current Registrar of Huye Campus, one of eight Campuses constituting University of Rwanda. The Registrar’s office headed by Mr. Ntawigira is designated for undertaking functions which principally turn around threefold areas namely Students’ admission and registration, Timetabling and examinations management, Transcripts and other academic documents’ issuance.
Mr. Ntawigira is a results-oriented administrator with over 8 years of experience in education sector on both technical and managerial positions. Prior to joining University of Rwanda, he worked for the Ministry of Education (MINEDUC) as the Centres of Excellence and Partnership for Skills in Applied Sciences, Engineering and Technology (PASET) Program Manager. He joined MINEDUC after having worked for IPRC North which later changed to IPRC Tumba on positions of Director of Academic Quality Assurance and Academic Quality Assurance Officer. He has been a part-time tutor for University of Rwanda ; College of Education through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) Program.

During his continued career, he realized notable achievements recognizable by fellow workmates as evidenced by having been the best employee of the year for IPRC Tumba for the year 2015/2016 and for the Ministry of Education (MINEDUC) for the year 2018/2019.

He holds a Master’s Degree in Education Management awarded from Annamalai University (India) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Education with Biology awarded from Kigali Institute of Education ; current University of Rwanda-College of Education.
